Cuddy locked the door behind her and groaned, realizing she had left her beeper inside. It was odd; usually the damn electronic was almost wired into her system.
For a minute she considered leaving it there, just for the night. She picked it up and felt the enormous responsibility she endured as it beeped she checked the number, not surprised it was from House. Any minute now he would come in here, demanding he could do some irresponsible yet life saving procedure.
She sat back down at her desk and waited, knowing her life was what she made of it.
