Two things....

I just noticed today two things had been missing from my life that I seem to thrive on. I had been feeling poorly this morning and found myself all curled up in my nightgown on the couch in a lovely pool of sunshine pouring in through the window. Then at the doctor's office for a routine checkup, I found myself again basking in the sun inside the ( Read more... )

I get very testy when there are no books waiting to be read. ;)

SUNSHINE! It is just about the best medicine when it's around.

I'm glad you found something to 'brighten' your mood. :D

I am missing the sun so much lately. It's been truly dismal for weeks here and we aren't used to that at all.

And books do the same for me. I find myself perking up considerably in a book shop (or a store that sells books like Target).
Balance is often such a weird thing.

I did enjoy "Noah's Compass". It was just the kind of book I needed. And I loved the ending! Now on to "Home Safe" Tyler and Berg are two of my favorite authors, and they both have new books out.

I bought my "Noah's Compass" a few days ago. We must share thoughts.

Oh Brenda, so glad you're reading "Noah's Compass", too! How far have you gotten, and what do you think of it? I finished it today, and I really enjoyed it. I loved the ending! Anne Tyler is one of my favorite authors! I hope she keeps writing her books. Her characters are so interesting!

You are so right, Allie. I've gone back to curling up in my chair in the evening and reading good books. I belong to goodreads.com and get so much information from there. Almost everything I read that has good reviews has been great. As for sunshine, hey, you are preaching to the choir on that one. I love it...can't get too much of it. Happy you've reclaimed your stride. *hugs*

Thanks, Laura and (((Hugs back to you))). If I have at least two great days each week, it makes up for the other not-so-great ones!
:D

The cold temperatures everywhere now make us want to hibernate. So patches of sunshine and good books go a long way towards lifting spirits!

Glad you liked my post. I really enjoyed "Noah's Compass", and now on to "Home Safe". It's been so cold here, and just about everywhere, that patches of sunshine and good books go a long way towards lifting our spirits!
