Poll * I love the non-strides the writers are taking with Ted! And Lily and Marshall! And the incredible backwards journey for Barney and Robin!
*** False! Chuck is on in that very same timeslot. Please, watch it if you're not. It's amazing

UGH. Okay:
1. The vast majority of Don's screentime was devoted to showing that he was a jerk. SO NOW I'M SUPPOSED TO BELIEVE HE AND ROBIN ARE SUPER-SERIOUS AND HE'S A GOOD GUY?
2. Ted/Robin are done. Please stop bringing them up. I was never a big fan and now I'm retroactively liking them even less because the show won't let go of them.
3. Barney/Robin. I don't think I even have the heart to expand on that thought.
4. And maybe this is my most important point: Dear writers, have courage. It's okay to advance storylines and give the characters development that changes the original format of the show. In fact, it's a GOOD thing if you do that.
(I hear you on the crappy life/not dealing with it very well. It's gotta get better sometime?)

1. All that we know/are shown instead of being told of Don: he walks around during work in his underwear. Oh, and he took her out on a date that Barney paid for. I really, really hate what they've done to Robin. What happened to the badass chick from before? It's just astounding.
2. I really liked them in Season 2, because it was a defining relationship not just for Ted, but for her as well. I mildly liked their plot in Benefits because, okay, relapses happen, and they dealt with it at the end of that. But this? This is just... ugh. They had one of the best break-ups on television that I've ever seen, and it's kind of cheapening it to keep going back on it, you know?
3. No, don't, it'll just make you super sad. D:
4. I agree completely. It's like, within the last two weeks, Chuck dared to change up major dynamics of the show, and it's pretty much one of the best things that happened on television. HIMYM desperately needs a shot of something new and not just rehashing old storylines ad nauseam ( ... )

YES. I was thinking about that a lot tonight. Even Ted and Barney seemed to be . . . objectifying her isn't quite right, but it comes close. I didn't get the sense they wanted HER. And, ugh, I hate to say it, but, the way they've been writing her, it's hard to see why anyone would fall for her.
They had one of the best break-ups on television that I've ever seen, and it's kind of cheapening it to keep going back on it, you know?YES. I LOVED their break-up, which sounds callous, but you know what I mean! It really was so lovely and something you don't often see on tv yet I bet happens often in real life. And I kinda liked Benefits, too, because it made sense. They live in the same apartment, they're friendly exes, of course they'd sleep with each other at some point! (Which, random aside: I think Barney/Robin should be randomly sleeping together. They both treat sex fairly casually, so why wouldn't they? Well, pre-Don ( ... )

Honestly, so, I chose #2, but really, it's because it's incredibly hard for me to let go of a show, no matter how terrible it gets.
