PS: vocal cords are pretty much like, flaps of skin and muscle that vibrate with the air flow. So, it's entirely possible to just... I guess take it out in her case?

I iconned the exact same panel. BUT I THINK THERE SHE'S STANDING A LITTLE AWAAAY, so it's a perspective thing.

Yeah, if it is strange genetical engineering behind her muteness, somehow, odds are she may not even HAVE vocal chords. Of course, that is not going to stop Faust from trying to GROW NEW ONES somehow, but yeah, it can be mucked up with camp's "help". Also when you say "cry" do you mean she can't even shed any tears, or does she just not make any sounds?
