Did you see the new car on Geek yesterday? Looks really cute. A chibi car, awwww.
"that's the kind of thing that occupied my idle childhood thoughts. That and Go-Gos-era Belinda Carlisle, I mean."(Dare I mention a certain little boy, a pair of scissors, and a spool of tape?)
I would like to ask everyone to buy canvas grocery totes to use at the store. I never have plastic grocery bags in my house anymore. And, these totes hold a huge amount of stuff! We bought $97 worth of groceries the other day and everything fit into 3 totes.
No, no... when I was very young, I used to like to cut coupons and individual panels out of my comic books. My older sister - in classic older sister fashion - has never, never let me forget all the good (and in many cases valuable) readin' I destroyed along the way.
I don't know if you've ever read Nick Hornby's High Fidelity but there's a scene where the main character (the owner of a record shop) answers an ad citing records for sale. He pitches up at the house where a woman presents him with boxes and boxes of mint 60s vinyl 33s, including limited edition Beatles and Sex Pistols discs, etc. The flabergasted guy knows the set is worth a fortune, far more than he could ever afford, but the woman only wants £5 for the lot. Turns out this is her husband's private collection, accumulated over 30 years, but he's just run off to Spain with some miniskirted tart and this is the wife's revenge
