This is a sketch I did of George Weasley, illustrating a scene from Chapter 21 of my fic, All That Remains. I've never done Fanart before and thought I'd try something new!
I just posted my first ever fanart to my page, if you want to see my style, I tend to be quite sketchy.
Once upon a time (freshman year of college)I was an art major, illustration. But that was years ago, and I'm really out of practice. My specialty was charcoals, but on the webby I'm sticking with tablet, since it's sooo much easier.
Like I told urbanmama, I think I'm crazy, doing a fic and illustrations at the same time. It must be Harry Potter fever!!

You are crazy talented is what you are ;-) I love that you chose George as your first subject, and I'm particularly fond of his hands -- the way one is gripping his knee and the other the bottle. Well done, and I'm happy to cheer you on for your rhr_bigbang art too.
i agree with another comment, the hands are great, especially that pinky finger. The hair is terrific and i love the sketchy linework. It looks very confident and free where you are suggesting wrinkles in his jeans and shirt. Nice. And I've loved what i've read on your story this illustrates. I need to catch back up on that one.
Thanks! I'm so glad you friended me back, you're an amazing artist and we seem to go in for the same pairings. R/Hr forever! You should take a look at mugglemama's new project rhr_bigbang, they're looking for artists.

Aren't you just full of surprises? LOVE it!
If you've never done fanart before, what types of art do you usually work with?
