I sometimes struggle with the exact usage of the particular words I use to explain or describe something because of my awareness that the usage of words does matter, and is in fact very particular to some people. If your unique alone you end up in a ward on the 6th floor. Galileo followed the footsteps of others and got censured and forbid to talk of his ideas.. Jesus ended up on a cross.
They had followers and great ideas and still ended up a creek.
It begs the question of whether a leader is a leader or just a focal point for an idea.

Greetings Thad,

You made some valid points. Although, I think the motivation behind the specific individuals (Jesus and Galileo) I mentioned were quite different than we understand. It seems they were martyrs for their cause, and thus apparent failure was actually unrecognizable to anyone.

I think you're right though, a leader isn't a leader in the sense that he or she really knows what he or she is leading at every point in time.
