A Short Rant on Don't Ask Don't Tell

 One thing that I'm finding interesting (when I'm not finding frustrating) about the effort to repeal Don't Ask Don't Tell, is that no one in opposition is actually coming out and saying that they think the ban is a positive thing for the military. I liked this a lot, Molly, and agree with what you said. Do you remember Army Mike? He HATES DADT. When he discovered that one of the soldiers in his unit slept with dudes (and was dating one from another unit), he didn't care that the kid was gay. He cared that the kid legitimately and truly believed that he had a dragon friend that only he could see and that he would constantly talk about killing himself. THOSE are the people you don't want in the armed forces, not trained soldiers who are disciplined, good-natured, not batshit insane, and willing to work as a cohesive team but who just happen to do the same sex.
