I made the mistake of browsing the sale table at the book store and came home with: Living History, by Hilary Rodham Clinton (on whom, I confess, I have a little crush); Siddhartha, by Herman Hesse; Quicksilver, by Neal Stephenson; Introducing Buddhism, by Chris Pauling; and Great Thinkers A-Z, edited by Julian Baggini and Jeremy Stangroom.
