The audience reaction doesn't sound too surprising to me... I've had enough experiences with biphobia, and other forms of dogmatism and rigidity bordering on fundamentalism from the lesbian community to have long since ceased to feel much of a connection with it, sad to say.

I think if I still lived in the bay area I'd be able to find enough other women who've gone through or are going through something similar to me that I could feel a sense of community, but so far the lesbians I've met where I live now seem to fall very much into stereotypical ways of thinking and behaving, so I've kind of given up home for finding lesbian connections here ( ... )
