of course i'm no expert when it comes to such things, but i know the only reason i keep this journal shtuff going is b/c it gives me a chance to communicate with people that i otherwise, wouldn't have much contact with. for example, i have a really good friend who graduated early and is in downtown going to college and working all day. having this journal has enabled me to keep in touch with this very important person in my life, and i hope she feels the same way. i also think that reading your journal gives me a chance to see the real you, not a facade or whatever i can pick up by walking past you in the hall as we go about our utterly stressful days. i like the feeling of taking time out of my day to go through each entry and reflect on that person.

i'm sad to hear that you're hitting a rough patch. just remember, you are loved far beyond your capacity to comprehend that love :) i only wish the best for you brittany, and i wouldn't hold onto a hope that i had a strong premonition wouldn't come true

Why in the world would I want anyone reading about me? Why would anyone bother to read it?
Is it because people are so bored with themselves that they want to read about all of the nothing that goes on in my life?

I can't speak for everything, but I know of at least one person for whom the reason is "because I care"
