[Oh the longest pause. The longest pause ever. He can't even pretend he misheard the accent.]

What are you talking about?

It's Doctor James Wilson. When you die that doesn't mean that you're not a doctor anymore.

I didn't want-

I'll change it.

Since that's the only possible detail that's changeable at this point, why the hell not.

Right. I doubt he's about to complain about my overlooking his medical degree, either, but apparently that's still important.

Will we all be issued masks and water rations?

worksmart May 13 2010, 05:44:23 UTC
Not by me. The chances of this being airborne are slim. Stay indoors and drink from the tap-- you'll be alright.

So I was right. It's rabies on crack and speed. That's just peachy.

Probably not the technical term, but it's what we're working with.

Last I checked, rabies doesn't have a cure once it's contracted. What prophylactic are you guys giving people?

Rabies doesn't have a cure once it's symptomatic. In the early stages after a bite, PEPs are highly effective.Four doses of vaccine and one of immunoglobulin.

[investing in those the zombie-infection related wards years ago had been the best administrative decision ever.]

If this is like any of the previous outbreaks, the people might return fully life when the madness ends. Until then we can only do our jobs.

The sheep seem to seek specific people, those who killed their kind as I did. If I remain in the installations, it could endanger the lives of patients and personnel by a mass attack, Doctor Chase. [She did killed more than one lamb.] I trust you and everybody else would be enough to handle this. I would be outside, always the vicinity, clearing the way of the rabid herd. [Reducing them to ash.]

Doctor Sahl, I killed more than one myself. We need doctors in the hospital right now more than we need them leading diversions.

Very well. But if they begin to attack the entrance I will go out to distract them.
