Diagnosis of irreversible Minimally Responsive State should not be considered confirmed (and therefore treatment not be withdrawn) until the patient has been insentient for at least 12 months.
377 days since I got here. Wonder how long I've got. Forgetting to update my medical proxy after dad died should buy me some time, but beds are expensive. I doubt my stepmum's putting me on her Amex Black right now. House wouldn't shut me down. Cuddy... has bigger concerns than some former employee long beyond use.
Longest recorded coma without waking: Elaine Esposito, 37 years.
If I make it here until I'm 68, can I call myself hard done by? Practically threescore years and ten. At this point dying here is likely to be preferable to waking up anywhere else.
Percentage of patients making a recovery to anything less than severe disability after a coma or MRS of more than one month: 10 percent. More than three months: closer to 6 percent.
After more than a year? Practically nil.
Statistically I'm the walking dead already, it should just be a matter of enjoying the cerebroatrophy while the sun still shines. Or the baseline functions still function. Wilson died last week. Eden should have. Am I trying to tell myself something? The number of signs I think I've had here it's impossible to say. If my brain's all that's holding this together I could lose them before I lose myself. I could lose everyone, and that's the one thing that would make this place unbearable.
After a period of twelve months, the prognosis for recovery is minimal enough that relatives may reasonably be consulted with regards to withdrawing artificial life support.
If I acknowledge that I've been here for a year, I'm acknowledging that I have to be running out of time.

Eden thinks your company is an improvement on a secure ward. Is she right?

Page 33. Melbourne, Australia, founded 1935 by John Batman, was originally called Batmania before being officially named Melbourne in honour of the British Prime Minister, Lord Melbourne, in March 1837. Pretty sure that makes my claim the more valid.

Bowling Alley's running a group discount this Sunday. Anyone up for it, or was Wilson planning on giving his Celine that night?

Sorry I missed last night's free entertainment, looks like I took my date to the wrong bar. Today's been great though, hasn't it? Always wanted a hoverboard, just never realised when I got one it would turn out to be somebody's dinner table.
So, who's up for a race?
[ooc: So so sorry for dropped tags and missed posts recently, I've been almost entirely offline for a couple of days. If there's something I need to catch up on, let me know here and I'll get to it. Tags for this may be slow as I'm still not that sharp ♥
edit: sleep now, hopefully more coherent tags tomorrow ]
