The weekend was interesting; almost made up for never being allowed down to see Circus Oz as a kid. Not so sure about the side shows, mainly because I thought the industry was supposed to have moved on from hairy women and shaved bears. It's funny how many things in this City remind me of being a kid, or of stuff I missed out on back then. Still ( Read more... )

A little troupe based down in Port Melbourne when I was growing up. Think they're a worldwide effort, now.

Growing up in Melbourne would probably imply that I am. How about you?

[ooc: ARE YOU FROM MELBOURNE. Most of my local info is from my dad and so ages old.]

The weather rarely fluctuates here into anything I'd call bad.

That said, might as well make the most of summer while it's here.

So it's only the sanity level that could use a forecast.

Or while I'm here. Does that mean you'll be stopping by the water?

And weather.com was never that reliable to begin with so I'm not sure how much good that would do anyone anyway.

I stop by on occasion. I like the beach.

And it's easy to get to, all things considered.

Nothing so reliable as looking out your window.

What's not to like? And, how are you fixed for Thursday this week?

You know the second someone mentions not having been cursed they end up cursed? It's like the city jinx.

Really. So far, I'm still feeling fine. Are there signs I should look out for?

If you're cursed hard enough people notice and they try to tell you. Most of the time you end up thinking it's everyone around you that's cursed. So even if there were signs, it would be other people noticing them and not you.

Hm. Well, so far no one's mentioned if I've turned green or switched personalities. Guess I'm safe for a few more seconds, at least.

Unless something changed since last summer, your theory might be proved wrong, Doctor Chase. At least for the time being.

So I hear. At least I'm not the only one here with a casual interest in the water.

No, you are certainly not alone there. I believe that the pirate vessels that used to be docked at the shore of the beach awoke more interest than surfing in the past. Perhaps somebody skilled enough would take advantage to this summer job opportunity.

If the waves are good enough, I'm sure the surfers will follow. Supply usually comes with demand.

How are you, Doctor Sahl?
