The part that's probably most interesting in third ed treatment is that they have very rigidly defined rules based on gender. females are the leaders and warriors and rarely leave their birth clan. Males are the mystics and storytellers and almost always leave their clan to join a new one. Females get a shitload of Rage, not much Gnosis. males get lots of Gnosis, not so much Rage.
A handful of Ajaba in each generation will be inversions, having their statistics switched (women with high Gnosis, males with high rage) and are considered destined for greatness... or infamy. Kisasi and Shari are both inverted.
