I recently submitted an application, and portfolio, to a journalism scholarship committee, and today I found out that I have got the scholarship :D They are giving me several thousand pounds, the idiots! Even more importantly, in my opinion, it comes with a guaranteed work experience offer from the newspapers involved, which is great, especially ( Read more... )

Thanks! I really wasn't expecting to get anywhere with it because I don't have that much experience, so I was quite shocked (in a good way, obviously) :)

Not that you'll see this, because anonymous people obviously don't get comment notifications or anything like that, but who is this??

You write like Robin.. have I guessed right, by any chance? :D

And, yeah, wouldn't it be nice to open your door every morning to the sight of a bottle of wine (though could encourage alcoholic tendencies, to say the least; 'oh, nice! one for the road!'). I very nearly knocked today's one over though, naturally. I mean, come on, for the first moment or two after I caught sight of it, I assumed my brain was making things up..

We're in NOrthampton tomorrow for Tiggerjo's leaving thingy until Monday. I don't know if we have plans for Friday. Certainly I don't know of any. I'll tell Laura.

Unfortunately, I don't think I'll know if I'm going to be about until Friday itself, as it all boils down to a Northampton friend Craig's meant to be meeting, really.. If it falls through, we could try to just come up to Northampton on Saturday instead anyway, though, I would imagine :)
