I can only comment as myself in this lj, not post, so I'll use Angela and just step out of her skin for a moment to note the Democrats' election victory yesterday that will place the real Nancy Pelosi as the first female Speaker of the House when the new session of Congress starts in January. speaker_pelosi, wherever you are, what a shame worldaffairs lost you as a player

Because I'm feeling depressed and extremely cynical at the moment, and because I don't suppose anyone will see the post, let alone this comment, I'll just add, in my own name, the caveat "assuming worldaffairs has a future and isn't going to crash and burn because of something else that happened recently".

Ah, Nancy! The good times we had, the attempted annexations, the drunken parties . . . well, no, not drunken, not me anyway, though you lot were always a bit merry. I always thought it was because you were pleased to see me, until I tried . . . until someone told me about the cocktails. *hic* Oops. Please don't hang me, I've been good recently. *sob*
