i'd never watched it before, and i caught snippets and the last ten minutes last night. i could see why the show's addicting, but i think watching it every week would just depress me. Everyone gets fucked over!!
Nah, there are plenty of happy parts. It's just that the characters tend to be very human - they have to actually deal with their problems and the consequences of their actions, good or bad. The show has very good writers who really understand that.
Plus, the episode last night happened to take place right after somebody very important DIED! The characters were dealing with that fact and with relationship issues.
It's a very good show. I highly recommend becoming addicted. :-)
