[Now, he meant to have audio on, but his video snapped on as well, unbeknownst to him. This means, of course, that he's partially out of frame, leaning back into the somewhat dark room. His shirt is visible, but his arms and head are somewhat hard to see. Behind him, his bed can be seen, and a mirror on the wall is glowing from the screens he's

You have been working on plasmids?
[He tries to avert his eyes from that damned mirror, he really does, but he can't help but glance over at it occasionally.]
But I thought that ADAM was exclusive only to Rapture. Did you bring some here?

I know, Gil, I know. I'm not sure what it means, either. [Well, that's partially a lie, but hey! Gil doesn't need to know that.
Tiredly he goes on.]
I've got a few methods'a producin' ADAM. Slow goin's, unfortunately. That's why it's takin' so long.

[No, he really doesn't, but he is willing to take Sinclair's word for it all. Besides, it's not like he has a choice.
At the mentioning of the plasmids, however, Gil seems to perk up.]
Ah. Would you mind telling me of said method? I am terribly curious, as I am in desperate need of something to do in this place.
[Not to mention to take his mind off all the things he has been told in just a few days.]

Now, normally I don't go on sharin' my trade secrets, but I found just knowin' about the sea slug that produces ADAM means someone can pull it out've the closet. Now, as the slug itself doesn't produce very much, it's got t'be fed. So I've found that givin' it some blood with traces'a ADAM already there, like the Sisters used t'do, means it yields a greater amount.
[He leans back, sighs.] 'Course, it takes a while.

As for the blood, I am curious as to where you get it from. It doesn't seem like there is a lot of people from Rapture here, let alone someone spliced --
[He smiles, folding his hands in his lap.]
-- but then again, I suppose that has something to do with those mysterious closets as well.

I have my ways. [He smiles slightly.] And we do have a few around here that've spliced, but they're not involved.

[He tilts his head, flashing the businessman a brief smile.]
Either way, you mentioned some plasmids. What variation you are trying to produce?
Reply
I'm tryin' t'produce a Plasmid that'll burn the ADAM out've someone's system. Permanently.

That sounds very useful indeed, but highly difficult to create.
I don't know what you have so far, but I would recommend that the plasmid performs the ADAM expulsion at a very slow rate, to prevent the body from going into shock.

I agree. 'Course, it's not comin' along easily by any stretch'a the word. My first attempt brought about the ability t'turn into water. Not sure what became'a that kid but the original tests were all good.

And to be honest, he really doesn't like the tone of voice Sinclair uses when he speaks about the tests.]
This isn't Rapture, Sinclair. We have to be more careful who we test on, and what happens to them. This place is terribly unpredictable, too. I have a feeling that its inhabitants will not be any less dangerous.
[Who would have thought? Ol' Gilbert has gone soft in his old age.]
