Anyone see the "guys kissing" Snickers commercial? Makes the two idiots who were so worried about their lips touching look like total fuckwads, right? Well, it seems that certain gay rights groups now have even more in common with the religious right than the religious right has ever wanted to admit. Neither understand satire. Now, apparently, ( Read more... )

Oh my gosh, I love this post.

Yes, if cervical cancer is removed from the mix, and the only health risks involved with sex are unwanted pregnancy, Aids, herpes, and genital warts, our teens will be fucking each other in the streets...

That's what I was asking recently: What girl is abstaining from sex only out of fear of getting HPV?

I'm all for open-mindedness and understanding both sides, but I can't begin to understand being against the vaccine--unless it was a question of safety, perhaps.

As for the Snickers commercial, I saw a blurb on the news about gay groups opposing it yesterday while I was on break. As I headed back to work in the middle of the segment I pondered, "How is this commercial bad for homosexuals?" From what I'd seen, it seemed to be more insulting to homophobes. However, I've only caught a glimpse of the commercial.

Hope all is looking up in your world.

This post wins. Seriously, the entire time I was reading this, like the person that commented above me, I was going, "Wordddd."

I honestly had no idea that there was such controversy over the vaccination, which I just find to be ridiculous. It seems like it would definitely be a no brainer to keep the public safe and healthy. :-\

"They have a point. Let's do away with ALL vaccinations. They only encourage irresponsible behavior. I mean, since my tetanus shot, I can barely restrain myself from stepping on rusty nails. Oh, and the flu shot? It sure is a relief to know that I can cough and sneeze on people, and BE coughed and sneezed upon myself with impunity. And fuck that washing your hands bit--We're innoculated, man!"

Awesomely put! Can I quote you on that?

I agree that opposing the vaccine is ridiculous. I have read that something like 1 in 3 sexually active people carry the virus that the vaccine is supposed to prevent (which causes no harm to men and can cause cervical cancer in women)...but remember that the people in charge don't think women should have any rights where their own bodies are concerned.

Damn...I LIKE that commercial....
