anyone who said that hd is the only one that goes with your stuff was taking the piss. there are 3 main types on harddisk. IDE SATa and laptop. Each of these have any size and all compatable. The only problem would be a big hd (over 128gb) on an old machine. Beyond that your machine should take any ide and you can pick them up for about 80gb same price as 40gb, and about 30gbp
