Today is a good day to squee and share

I don't know about you, but where I am it's December 17th already. Which means it's just two more weeks another month before posting starts.
Of course it's also well over three months before posting closes so this isn't the time to panic yet. It does, however, seem to be a good time to invite you all to tell us about your progress - and for you to ( Read more... )

Pshhh... In your schedule post is written that posting starts on January 15th 2012, so it would be close to one month.

Shit, you're right. How could I even forget that...
Now I need to decide if I change this post or the schedule. Somehow, it's been January 1st in my mind all the time.

I am so glad for this post, I've been wondering all week when posting stared but haven't had a lot of computer access to look it up.

And my fic? 100% not written yet :D I have a bang to post, and then it's Christmas, and then I'm planning on writing while eating leftovers for the following week.

Yeah, this is where I messed up. According to my own schedule (thank you very much, brain!) posting doesn't start before January 15th. So it's another month, not two weeks. Oh well...

You plan for writing sounds good. :)

Wait, posting starts in two weeks? The schedule says it starts on Jan 15th.

And, so, yeah. I've been working on a big bang, then NaNo, then another big bang. Accordingly, I haven't started this fic at all. No worries, though-- I'm sure I'll get it done in time! And instead of a snippet, I guess I'll just share a quick gloss of things that will be involved in the story:

Small-town Saskatchewan, shut-down gas stations, lots and lots of driving, abandoned shacks by the side of the highway, dinosaurs, First Nations characters, lake monsters, flooded crops, breaking and entering, Sam way back when he was having visions, Dean before he was a functional alcoholic, and the longest bridge over the shortest span of water in the world.

Yay~!

Heh, you're workload sounds pretty much like mine. I only just started writing for this myself.

And you're absolutely right, I managed to mess up the schedule. It's January 15th. I changed this entry accordingly.

Your story sounds awesome. Especially the dinosaurs! :D

I've done some research, ended with 3 different ideas and I think I know which I'll do. Now I just have to start sketching, search for visual reference and work!!

I think I'm probably half way through writing mine, which is a modern SPN retelling of the local legend about the Wild Man of Orford. It features one kidnapped Winchester, and horses, and another Winchester to the rescue, and that's all I'm sayin'!

But first I have to finish my Colorado and Alaska fics for the 50 States challenge.... meep!

I know how that feels. Juggling four stories myself here.

Never heard of that legend. It sure sounds interesting!
