Hey, my name is Dee. I'm 16 from New Jersey. This year will be my first WYD and I'm really excited! I'm going with a group of about 10 people from my church's youth group. I just randomly searched for this community a couple minutes ago because I wanted to join a community and find out what people were doing to prepare for WYD and to get advice

i'm from jersey too, though i'm a good bit older than ya, as i'm 25, but i've been to a few world youth days. what part of jersey are ya from, go ahead and use the parkway or turnpike exit reference ;) and what group are ya going with. also go ahead and ask whatever questions you want...

just a note of advice, though you will have a new Pope, dont always try to get close to the stage, if you can find a stop on the Popemobile route, and your're close to the edge, stay there. you'll get squished, but it is well worth it. ;) being within 5 feet of JP2 was unreal. for my past wyd experiences go here http://www.livejournal.com/users/irish3509/38432.html it should bring you to my jp2 reflection ;)

sussex county... i'm going with my church Our Lady of the Lake in Sparta. I saw in your info you're in Hawthorne. My lacrosse team plays in Bergen County a lot (Pope John HS)
