OUCH. Great job on this. Very Peter, all the wrong reasons and associations, and the sense of things going inevitably bad.

I'm glad you liked it :-) It couldn't be a happy tale overall, but I had to let him have something good however briefly.

I've enjoyed reading your Peter *so* much, and reading your view of him was fascinating. I will attempt to get the massive rambling comment/reply I seem to be compiling in odd moments at work (where I live right now *sob*) to you before one of us dies of old age ;-) I'm just lousy at getting my view of characters across in my own words, but it gave me a lot to think about.

Waaahhh! You really make me want to cuddle Peter tight, like a battered, half-forgotten Teddybear. Poor Peter, now I feel really, really sorry for him.

That's what he is, the battered half-forgotten teddy bear of HP fic, very hard done by! I just like seeing him as a human being, poor boy, he wasn't always what he turned into.

Thank you very much :-) I'm glad it seems to have come across as it was in my head! I tried to keep it shorter, but those interactions between them all refused to be left out. You're right, it's an accumulation of so many little weaknesses in the individuals and stresses in their relationships that made them prey to later events, or at least that's the way it works for me rather than one or more dramatic events ( ... )

Thank you! Heh, you too busy writing yourself into a frenzy I bet ;-) The Remus/Peter love didn't last too long here, but I'm sure it'll feature again sometime. I'm definitely going to find an excuse to write some more...have to check out the Peter fest challenges I think ;-)
