Barbara steps inside the TARDIS, looking all over the walls and the ceiling and the control panal...it was all so different. Of course it was bigger on the inside, she knew that already...but, "oh my!" she lets go of the Doctor's hand, roaming the platform, taking everything in.

She watches him at what she assumes is the control panal, for that was a great deal different too, "it seems a lot les...organised than before." She prodes a wire sticking out from the panal.

The Doctor finished feeding the information into the TARDIS, turning his head to Barbara and frowning. "Less organised? Well, yes I suppose it is but is that really all you can pick out! Its TARDIS, look at all the new add ons."

The Doctor gestures around the TARDIS in random directions, simply eager to show it off. He did love his TARDIS greatly.

"Oh, well it does need some repairs I suppose," The Doctor agreed, tucking the wire away and ignoring the sparks that shot off on the other side. "I has been through a lot."

Barbara stares, wide eyed at the sparks, "is that supposed to happen?"

"Um, no... yes. Sort of, its a bit faulty but its as useful as ever," The Doctor grinned, rubbing the back of his neck. The old girl was falling apart a little bit.

The Doctor kept on track, getting close enough that he could actually make out the odd face. Nothing familiar, no real details that stood out. But the locals charged at the colours, hopping over all and any barriers that had been set up.

The Doctor, naturally, went right after them. He hopped over the fence and hurried along, catching up with the group.

"Hello there!" He called after them, pausing as they stopped in front of the colours. "What are we doing then?"

Barbara had a little trouble getting over the fence but it took no time to catch up to the Doctor, now that he had stopped. However, she was largely distracted by the large face in amongst the colours. In fact, she was suprised that she recognised it as a face as it had no distinguishing features, really. Just a bump where the nose, chin and cheek bones should be.

She keeps half a step behind the Doctor, a hand resting gently over his shoulder blade while she gazed up at it all, not even noticing the crowds anymore.

Oh woah, now that was interesting. Though his attention was the locals... who seemed to be carrying weapons. Oh, that was not good at all.

"Ok, lets put those down shall we?" The Doctor asked, pulling himself in the way of the weird colour people. He assumed they were a foreign race perhaps? But he still had yet to understand what was happening here.

The locals seemed far to willing to raise there weapons to get him out the way. "Move! We have to end them."

Blinking, the Doctor slowly raised his hands in defence.

Barbara, only vaguely aware of what was actually going on, continued to stare up at the big colourful face...thing. The angry voices semi broke her concerntration and, following the Doctor, she raised her hands. Peeking around the Doctor's tall form she noticed just how angry the people or aliens or huminoids or whatever they were, were. But her attention soon drifted back up to the colours and the featureless face. Her arms began to sort of droop in the air around her head though it's not like she cared. The colours held too much of her attention for her to care.

And the Doctor ran right beside her, slipping his hand into hers and dragging her further away. "Oh yes! I'm the Doctor. The one and only, marvellous wonder me and you are Barbara," he informed her with a bright smile, despite his new found worry. "And don't you dare leave me again!"

She kept silent as she concerntrated on running through the field and not falling on some unseen rock or log or hole. every few steps she'd look up to see where they were headed before concerntrating on the ground, trusting the tight grip of the Doctor's hand to lead her away from danger.

Looking up she saw the top of the hill. Looking back down were her feet and the grass. Lookig up was the top of the hill again, this time with a commotion. She looked down to check for things but she quickly looked back up again. At the top of the hill, grey smoke rose into the air and shouting could be heard.

"Doctor," Barbara puffed between breaths, "what's going on?"

The Doctor slowed to a halt and took a deep breath. "I have no idea," he admitted as he looked around, frowning at the sight behind them.

"Those things are doing something, I just have to find out what. But obviously it seem to pray on humans," he mused aloud, turning his head to Barbara with a worried look on his face. "Perhaps you should go back to the TARDIS."

He didn't want to send his new friend away but he most certainly didn't want to get anyone hurt.

"Don't you dare leave me." Barbara tightened her grip on his hand and looked him straight in the eyes, "if I go to the TARDIS, you're coming too."
