[ Ilsa is curious about the tone Hiccup used on the phone, and calls back. Yes, she's got an excuse to call him about the knife, but she's going to try being straightforward. ]

Hiccup? Is everything all right?

Mmhmm. [ Nope, not buying it, but also not pushing it. ]

Have you had a chance to try working with the cans, yet?

Yeah. They're okay. I mean, it was kind of a process working them all together, and I'm not sure the metal is particularly strong.

Well,shoot. Maybe they can be useful for other applications. That way you can use the higher grade steel for things that need strength.

Yeah, we can probably figure out something for the cans.

Hmm... I use more canned goods than I need for tin-work luminaria, but I haven't done anything like that in years. I'm not really good at design work.

It's just a candle-lantern, something the cousins liked to do for festivals.

Action - at the forge

[ Ilsa arrives at the forge, hearing the sounds of hammer on steel, and leans on the garage wall, watching Hiccup work. ]

[ She's been here before, and chose the side of the garage that is out of his direct line of sight for a reason. Hiccup has never been an overly cheerful young man, but his tone on the phone bothered her a great deal. ]

[He's just working, keeping his thoughts on what he's doing and nothing else. It helps, having something to do. Not only that, something that he's good at, something that people need him to do. He's being helpful.]

[ She observes a few moments, noting his focus and steps into his line of vision, when it seems he is at least functional. ]
