Your friend should diagram and write a intilligent letter about what happened in the accident and how it all points to the other driver being at fault. Also, look up the state driving laws and see what ones the other driver broke and state those also. Send it all to the insurance company, and if its convincing they usualy you will give you some sort of compensation.
My friend just got in an accident and the cops said the other driver was at fault, however the insurance company said their driver was not to blame. I think its just a letter that the insurance companys send so they dont have to pay, even thought they KNOW their driver is to blame. Anyway, he did just this and is waiting on the results. He went so far as to mesure the intersection, take photos of his car and the intersection and such. He came to the comclusion that the guy, in this case, had obviously turned into his car in a road rage like mannor. Kinda scary that we let those kinda people drive.
