As I keep telling anyone who will listen...I am tired, just sort of all the time somewhat lacking energy tired, not let me have a good night's sleep and recover tired, and this means I don't get anything done. I look around, tell myself I should do things, but then I don't. I just listen to a podcast and play a game on my phone and feel guilty.

Thank you, he was a real character, far more than the other two that I still have! I miss his noise, he was always talking to us.... 🙁

I hope that he has found something, I wondered if the man might keep him if he didn’t find the mother, he seemed like that sort of person.

I am so sorry. I always thought Heathcliff's arrival was such a magical story.

Every pigeonnier reminds me of your post, and I think about what grows in the vicinity. As you could see in the pictures it’s pretty wild with mostly just fields of grass for grazing or hay. There is maize but I am wondering if that is a modern arrival, maybe due to subsidies. In any case I think that it’s difficult for pigeons to really do much damage to maize.

surely a dog wouldn't steal an aubergine, surely if he had he wouldn't eat it raw and leave not a trace?

They will joyfully eat rocks and cat shit though, so who knows. 😂

So far I have cauliflower curry, lentil soup, moussaka and a veggie shepherd's pie all in individual containers in the freezer.

I wish I could hire you to do mine - that all sounds wonderful.

we both agreed that it was better to put him to sleep now.

Oh no, I'm so so sorry. Losing a family member like that is the worst. I'm glad he had you to take care of him. ❤️
