I feel rubbish :(

I have an interview at Wolverhampton University tomorrow for their Fine Art course.
I was already really nervous, because they didn't like my work at Aberystwyth, and i've done even less work than usual since then
so i don't particularly want another knock back or anything

But i just went to re-read the letter they sent me months ago, and apparantly ( Read more... )

oh, BB, don't worry! I'm sure they should be okay about it - they obviously liked you enough to give you an interview!
good luck with your phone-call and interview and everything tomorrow! DON'T GIVE UP, you are all kinds of awesome♥

thanks~(:♥
Oooh what did you apply for?
That's my dillema, i feel like it'd probably be more worthwile to just go out there and get a job instead of spending another 3 years in school
but i don't really know :\

Ooo yeah, so you'd be learning to do something that you already do
I think actual job experience will look better on future CVs than a degree with no experience anyway :)

Aww, are you quite passionate about fine art? ^^

Best of luck bb!
I shouldn't worry too much. If they like you and your work enough it should be absolutely fine. :)

I see what you mean. My best friend was actually in the almost exact same position. She's doing art foundation (1 year) at Oxford Brookes uni (same uni as me, I do a media studies course though) and she wanted to go into/specialise in illustration (for 3 years) afterwards. However, she hates art foundation and says she just doesn't have the drive/passion anymore and misses writing english essays etc. :|
So yeah, that's just my bff's experience but she is doing art foundation, so it is different obviously and at a diff uni. She also did fine art for GCSE and a level (like me), but now she wants to just do art as a hobby.
I think it's something you've just got to try with really. Alot of things can affect whether you like a course or not, like the teachers, freedom, the workload etc.
But yeah, just throwing out a little bit of experience there.

Sitll, wish you the best of luck!
You should post up pics of your work on LJ sometime. :D

That's totally how i feel! I was thinking of doing art foundation at Wolvo college if i don't go to university next year and then going into either fine art or illustration but it's like an endless sea of work for art and the passion is starting to dry up :( I looked at Oxford Brookes when i was looking at possible places to apply! It looks really nice there
Thanks :) It really helps to get other peoples view points on this, everyone at my school is rubbish :\

I might do soon! Probably when i get a bit further into my exam :)
