Hmmm... should I try MG Alliance?

Nov 30, 2008 22:20

For a while now I've been debating creating an Alliance side character to play around on Moon Guard. I had an alliance druid, which my friend and I had created a storyline for, but when interest in the horde grew too much and said friend stopped coming around, the druid was axed and my focus was on Horde-side ( Read more... )

Not stupid at all, though I personally have gone to keeping my Horde characters on one server (Shadow Council) and my Alliance characters on another (Sentinels). That's just me, though -- I rolled a human on Sentinels to play with my husband (who wanted a certain name which was available on Sentinels) and made a couple of other Alliance alts to play with, and, well, there you go.

I know a couple that have done that, Horde on one server and Alliance on another. My main characters reside on Moon Guard, horde side. I have a little Night Elf huntress on Scilla (PVP server) that I want to level somehow so I can play with my buddy there. I have a little Blood Elf huntress (yes I like hunters :D ) over on Scarlet Crusade or something since a friend plays there.

Thanks for the input. :)

Est used to be on Moon Guard...I actually enjoyed the environment there. Well..the random RP environment...I never found a guild that I felt I really fit into. There was always something going on in Stormwind...several taverns, and people were always very friendly (some maybe a little...too friendly. >>) Stormwind is very, very active.

As far as two factions on the same server...why not? :) It's fun having friends on both sides!

Thanks for the comment! :D I've actually not ventured into the random RP stuff. I'm afraid of being teased or made fun of for not knowing the lore inside out and backwards. (In fact, my lore knowledge is only what I've learned from WoW Wiki)

One of my friends on the Horde Side has some characters Alliance side, and they're the brother or relation of the horde guy lol. Cute story, but I'd have to make mine solo and not connected to the alliance hehe.

One of my DKs is a female dwarf ally-side MG. I have a few friends that play over there every once in a while. I don't know how RP from first-hand experience, but I know quite a few people who say it's better. I see more of it alliance side than horde side, but I also avoid SMC like the plague, so I may be skewing my results. ;)

I've never actually ventured into any city or area and tried random RP. The closest I got was the other day when my little Blood Elf rogue was running into Orgrimmar and some Undead rogue saw me and was staring. I stopped, looked back, and then kept running. He PM'd me to say he was admiring the view, and we chatted a bit IC, a couple whispers back and forth. That was fun and kinda neat. My biggest fear is someone will harass me or tell me off for not knowing lore inside out and backwards. I've read over the WoW Wiki info on the blood elves several times over, though I've never memorized it. Since my characters are all blood elves on Moon Guard, it's really the one place I focus.

My RP experience has been done in the guild chat, or with friends. I keep thinking I should venture into some city or something to do some RP, but then I get scared/nervous and shy away.

Well, considering the only real RP I have is with friends I would figure that Horde would be better only in the fact that that is where my friends reside. lol I'm afraid of random RP, afraid of not being good enough or having someone tell me I suck or am stupid or something for not knowing the lore inside out and backwards.

Well I haven't read on Alliance lore to create a story.

Right on myroleplay my druid is High Elf and Troll mix. That's all I got.

That's an interesting mix. :)

I had debated trying out a warrior again, but I haven't had any luck with leveling them. lol Who knows though.

I has a Space Goat named Weeping. Only level 18 since my time is taken on my Hordies.

I have to say that I have run across some decent RP. Mainly during the zombie invasion, Stormwind was fun. I think when world events happen, Alliance side does more then Horde side on MG. But that is just me.

Oh and my shaman's name is Weeping if you ever do go Alliance.

Oh, thanks! It's nice to know there's someone over on alliance I may know. =)

I haven't decided yet. I think I've just felt bored lately lol. I'm waiting for my friend so we can level to 80, he just got Wrath (my birthday/Christmas present to him) and of course has been busy; plus there's others to level like the DKs, and our little warlocks.

I've got a bunch of alts, and I flitter around with them at times. I just have thought of making an alliance side character for kicks. lol
