Frustration

Jan 01, 2009 19:00

I was going to write this for wow_ladies  but I figured it's better to whine here, where there's less chance to annoy anyone.  :p

Seriously, my whine/rant is here )

I'd check out Shroud, Pyralis, or House Silvacce, personally. I know a bunch of people from those guilds and they all seem nice.

Oh thanks! I know of House Silvacce from my days in Earthwalkers. I also see them around a lot. I'll check out the 3 guilds, see if I can find out what they're about.

Thanks Sal. :D

Thanks for the suggestions. Shroud sounded like just what I was looking for, but they haven't yet got back to me. (I sent a longish letter to the Guild Master on their message board.) I'm guessing the fact that I am a Guild Master on another guild with my main (Styleen) they decided not to take me since they want to hide their guild secrets. :(

Your cute icon caught my eye on a mutual acquaintances journal, then I read this entry and couldn't help but reply. Been a guild master for over two years now, since my guild began on Blackwater Raiders and then packed up and moved to Moon Guard.

It's, at times, rewarding, at times infuriating. Being a heavy RP guild makes things all the tougher. If you stick with it, however, it'll flourish (and flounder, there's no ups without eventual downs). Sorry for the unsolicited mutual-gripe.

Thanks for the reply. It's definitely difficult. Right now I think the best thing we can do as a guild is recruit people, and see if they're fitting in to the guild flow and if not, thank them and send them on their merry way.

My co-GM and I are pretty big softies, but we had to learn that you can't be shy about sending along anyone who doesn't fit in. If you don't feel they fit in, from our experience, the other members feel the same, they probably just aren't saying so out loud.

Yea, I feel the same way. The guys in my guild (the active ones) are of the same belief as myself and the GM, we'd rather have a quality guild than a guild with 200 members who don't know each other. I'd far rather have a nice guild of good friends than one that's full of people who care nothing for one another, really.
