I love WoW, I really do, and I understand that there has to be down time once in a while for maintenace and stuff, but WHY does it always have to be the TWO SERVERS I really like playing on

Oh my gosh, I know how you feel. I have characters scattered across a variety of realms, but I don't like playing where but Moon Guard. The last time MG crashed, I went and re-rolled alliance on my old server, Ysera. I think I'll make that my new home when MG is down.
The bonus is that it's at the bottom of the alphabetical listing and a normal server, so it's never overrun by folks making low-level characters to kill time while their servers are down.
*nods* I think that's the most disruptive, having people just randomly roll characters when their servers are down. They sit on level 1 characters in General chat, whining about how their servers are down. I just wait for the servers to be up and log in then. lol
I've got my mains on Moon Guard.
There are 2 on Wyrmrest Accord, rolled there because my friend told me how great the RP is there. (These two I am thinking of deleting, they're both low level anyhow - 1 is like level 5, the other level 10 - and maybe redoing the one on Moon Guard (She's a Night Elf druid)).
I have one on Zangamarsh because my friend asked me to roll on her server. I've had no interest in playing her, and only got her as far as out of the DK starter zone. I prefer the RP servers, really. :)
I prefer rp servers as well, honestly. But it seems like everyone gravitates to them when servers are down, which results in really awful public channels.
I have a couple friends on various pvp servers, but I'm still scared of them so I just cannot play.
From the vague memories of Ysera that I have, it wasn't a horrible server. I don't remember a whole lot about it, but for a place I plan on visiting once every couple months, I figure it's fine, hehe.
*nods* I don't want to go on PVP servers. I like PVP but only when I WANT to do PVP. My friend has me playing Age of Conan a bit (I'm not fond of it but it's his game of preference >.>) and when I first started it was a PVP server we played on. I wasn't even out of the starting town (you're there til 20) and was ganked repeatedly while I was standing at a vendor. I couldn't even Res or Heal before they'd kill me again - a group of 5 much higher levels over a single level 10 (or something)... yea so not fair. It's that experience that will forever keep me from PVP servers. lol
Both Moon Guard and Wyrmrest were down because they are technically on the same.... system? LOL I dont know the technical term, but because of this... when one goes down, they both go down.
