hmm true. the impression i got was numerous/insignificant as rain in the grand scheme of things. maybe "heroes are as rain" rather than raindrops will preserve some of that ambiguity/double meaning.

Of all the pairings in Woxin, I regret most that I can't get a handle on Wen Zhong and Fan Li. Wondered why, and then realized they're both word people, hence lost in translation. I could write Gou Jian and Fu Chai even with the subtitles turned off, but not those two.
