Personality: Padma was always the quieter twin, the one who was never really noticed. Padma liked it this way, to be honest. People not noticing her made it easier for her to get things done. Despite this seeming lack of popularity though, she did manage to garner a few close friends. She's also not completely westernized, preferring to wear a shalwar kameez than robes, and a choli lengha and sari for more formal occasions. She doesn't much like being touched, by men anyway, too rigid in her traditions, which makes her think that any outward sign of affection is indecent.

Padma liked to hide in paper work and be a bookworm, which is why she was so interested in a desk job. The only place where this wasn't true was when she danced. Her mother raised proper Indian girls and teaching them traditional Indian dances was a matter of course, and besides her studies, that is the one thing that Padma took to like a fish to water. She loves dancing, more than anything and actually enjoys performing at festivals and shows and the like.
History: (added since this wasn't part of the application originally) Padma was born to a rich, upper caste family in Amritsar, India. Her father ran a prosperous import/export business of fine Indian goods and other luxuries. The younger of two twins, Padma was always the quieter and more studious twin, taking her lessons more seriously. She was also more traditional of the twins, involving herself in all aspects of her culture, especially dance, which she practiced religiously.

The girls led a dual life, half in India, half in England, growing up in both societies. Padma always preferred India, but even she jumped at the chance to study at Hogwarts, and she was thrilled when her letter came. Being placed in Ravenclaw suited her just perfectly, and she applied herself to her magical studies with the same verve and passion that she had her lessons from her mother.

She and Parvati both participated in the DA and were involved in the Hogwarts front of the war. After the final battle, Padma applied and got a job at the ministry, working as a paper pusher in the Department of Magical International Cooperation. By the time she was twenty, she was promoted to a junior ambassador and sent to Eastern Europe to study under her mentor. She was trapped in Sofia when the virus broke out and was placed into stasis soon after, having no idea whether her sister had managed to be saved as well.
When the going gets tough, they…: Padma is a strategist, and would probably do her best to stay out of the line of fire until she’d figured out the best plan of attack.
Greatest Fear: Flying, thankfully, there seem to be no broomsticks, so she should be safe from that.
Relationship history: Nothing serious, one or two men, but she’d been too interested in her work to get involved with anyone long term.
Personal items (each stasis was allowed two, small personal items): A dictionary of runes and her favorite sari
