The only bad note was I got whacked in the head with the hatch door on the Subaru. Total accident. Pat didn't realize I was setting my new plushie octopus into the back and started lowering it. Fortunately my friend Michele had an ice pack, so I held that on my head for the first hour of our drive and I ended up not even having much of a knot. Just

I've already gotten whacked by my Subaru. That rear door doesn't stop when it hits something. At least, not right away.

Oh, I'm sorry to hear that. This is the first time for either of us. And it wouldn't have happened if Pat hadn't started to close it as I went to put something in. Both of us were unaware of that the other was doing. Pure accident.

I'm very fortunate to have the Bewley hard head, so I seemed to suffer nothing more than a bit of pain.
