Yeah, I have a floater in my left eye (which is also where I have an astigmatism, which makes it doubly worse.) I've had it for a couple of years. It does seem to have gotten better, but I wish the damn thing would just detach. I do get flashes of light from time to time, but they're very mild. According to my ophthalmologist, it happens as the floater is slightly pulled away from the eye wall by the liquid in my eye. But I can pretty much ignore the damn thing.
I hope yours resolves soon. It must be very annoying, such a huge disruption to your vision.
Glad that your lab results were excellent - it's all that climbing and boxing! - and that the floater is not an emergency situation. Just be sure to, ha, keep an eye on your vision for any changes.
Aging is better than the alternative! And being busy is also good.
I appreciate the good thoughts on my eye. It's mostly annoying because I am constantly aware of it because it's right in the middle of my vision. (sigh)

Ugh I hope your eye resolves itself on its own.
