Yesterday I saw my friend JoAnn for the first time in two years.

She lives in an assisted living facility and it was locked down for well over a year, and then it was only family allowed in, but yesterday I got to visit her in her little apartment. We hugged each other at the door and didn't want to let go

If you're still fine living on your own, why would you move to assisted living? There's still time for that!

So glad you were finally able to visit JoAnn and have a good time. She's obviously lonely and feeling isolated and that is sad. But of course you must do whatever you think is right for you and Pat, and assisted living sounds like a terrible idea for two active, healthy adults. I'm certainly not ready for that option either!

I can't wait to chart your progress on that route that defeated you the first time around, Pretty sure you'll conquer it soon.

I cannot see you or Pat in assisted living for a long time. I considered it for my parents and they don't want anything to do with it :P.
