JOBS AT THE PAPER
In the application we have a field that asks for your character's preferred job. You are not restricted to the jobs listed below--any job is possible as long as you can link it back to the paper.

STANDARD OCCUPATIONS
These should make up the bulk of the paper.
EDITOR IN CHIEF
This job is currently not available for application.
The editor in chief takes care of all the nitty gritty stuff that the head doesn't want to deal with. The chief takes care of the final proofread, final edits, and all that last-minute goodtime before the paper's out. He also assigns stories to the staff.
FINANCIAL DIRECTOR
One slot open. | Age: 25+
The financial director keeps track of sales, profits, and budgets. Suck up to the FD if you want color ink or a nicer cubicle. There is only one financial director.
MANAGERS/EDITORS
Limited slots (judged by # of writers/photographers). | Age: 25+
Managers and editors work directly under the head supervisor and essentially make his job easier. They ensure that the more miniscule details of their departments are running smoothly. There are different kinds of managers and editors:
EDITORS [edit and format the paper for print--there is one editor for every section of the paper (ie: sports, art, politics)]
PHOTOGRAPHY MANAGERS [take care of the photo dept's complaints.]
LAYOUT MANAGERS [take care of the organization and uniformity of the text, articles, advertisements, etc]
COPY EDITORS [checks mechanics and general appropriateness of material]
PHOTOGRAPHERS/WRITERS
Unlimited slots. | Age: 18+
These make up the bulk of the paper, and should be pretty self-explanatory. They are allowed to write or photograph for any section of the paper they choose, though your chosen field does not have to be set in stone. Authors of editorials are included in this section.
Writers/photographers may work part time, depending on the circumstances.
INTERNSHIPS
Unlimited slots. | Age: 16+
The paper offers several internships for budding writers and students. This is an unpaid position with part-time hours, depending on your character's schedules. They often serve as the brunt of jokes.
MISCELLANEOUS OCCUPATIONS
Unlimited slots.
These jobs may vary greatly. You can have several jobs at the paper, no matter how minuscule they seem--whether it be coffee girl, repairman, delivery boy, or maybe just being an low-paid kick-you-around lackey.
Your character must be at least sixteen in order to have a miscellaneous occupation (though delivery boys/girls may be aged down to as low as 13).
