The funny thing about this is that I originally wrote it for a Doctor/Rose LAS! I was trying to write Nine and Rose but for some reason it just kept fighting me. I finally looked back on it yesterday and realized that I'd been writing Ten and Donna the entire time!
I'm so glad you like it--thanks so very much for your comment! :D
Thing is, I wrote it before I was even aware I shipped Ten/Donna. I was already reaching for that dynamic, so I guess that's pretty telling, isn't it? XD
And I'm sure the Doctor wouldn't mind if you stepped in for a bit, either! ;)
Yeah, I don't see the Doctor being a good patient, either! ;P Thank goodness he's got the one companion who won't let him get away with cranky behavior! ;P CUTE!!! :D
I could actually see Martha taking care of him like this, but she'd kind of retreat into a clinical, doctorly persona to remove herself from the situation. Donna's much more patient and understanding, I think.
Aw, poor Doctor, but even more so, poor Donna. I adore the way the Doctor sounds as if he's dying, but it's nice of him to take cre of him a bit anyway.
I'm sorry, I'm just having fits of giggles over your icon. It's exactly the reaction I imagine Donna having when she hears the Doctor moaning at the end of the fic.
I'm going to guess you meant that it's nice of him to take care of Donna a bit through his illness, which is exactly what I was going for. As self-centered as the Doctor can sometimes be, and have that magnified by being ill, he is always concerned for his companions.

If Donna needs a break I suppose I could force myself to tuck the Doctor in.... ;D
