I’m standing outside Daniel’s door, debating whether or not to use my key. Yeah, he said I could anytime, but this relationship is new and it feels…weird. Like I haven’t earned key privileges yet or something.
In fact, the whole thing is pretty damned weird. Me and Daniel. Lovers. Partners. In a relationship. Whatever the heck we are. Just…weird. But in a good way.
I’m just reaching for my key when the door opens. Daniel’s there, grinning and already talking a mile a minute. He’s totally wired, even at this hour. Definitely not getting to sleep any time soon.
“…got to see this, Jack; it was just delivered…”
“Back up a sec, what are you talking about?”
“My new espresso maker. You’ve got to try this…” he answers, grabbing my arm and tugging me towards the kitchen.
Oh boy. I’m seeing a lot of caffeine-induced sex in my near future…
