For the last couple of weeks, I've been one of maybe a thousand players beta-testing PokerRoom.com's new no-limit tournament software.

Well.

( extremely long, incredibly boring stuff from the last couple of weeks -- do not even bother to click here unless you play hold em. Bottom line, I got lots of practice, qualified for a huge freeroll tourney on Sunday, and parlayed my PokerRoom fake money into about $80 of real money by beating up on some poor suckers, then lost most of it in a high stakes tournament because I played poorly against some good players. Things have cooled off quite a bit with The Professor. Still grapping with what to do about it. For some reason the word "nothing" is resonating in my head, as I contemplate waiting for her to make the next move. A long but productive day at work. Now, it's time to go home, do some laundry, eat a little dinner, and watch Stargate SG-1 -- rumor has it something MAJOR will happen tonight. We shall see.

Foxwoods has cancelled all their Saturday/Sunday poker tournaments, because of all the problems they've been having with turning so many people away.

Guess I'm stuck playing online only. Oh well....

It's so hard to find good Italian food anymore that's not overloaded with cheese.

So, the ex and The Professor have met, and both seem pretty cool with each other. Spoke with the ex about it last night -- not only was she left with a pretty favorable impression ("she seems very nice"), but apparently my daughter's been raving about her new 40-year-old playmate.
