post wisdom teeth extraction!

So I had two wisdom teeth taken out today..the other two will have to wait a couple more years. I had a local anesthetic (meaning, lots of lovely needle shots into my gums). I was so tense throughout the extraction..not that it hurt, but the power saw(?) they used was loud and it took forever to get one tooth out. Ackk..now blood won't stop ( Read more... )

I have to have all 4 of mine taken out at once. I just keep putting it off and putting it off. My dentist says I have to have it done within the next year or my teeth will become horrible crooked. I have to be put to sleep, which means an IV will be administered. I dislike IV's alot.

My insurance didn't cover a general anesthesia. It would have been $340 if I wanted to be asleep for the entire procedure. It shouldn't be that bad though..just a..shot in your arm. =/

ehhh i got my teeth pulled out two at a time so instead of looking like a chipmonk for one week i looked like one for two... it was bad.... the dentist had another patient before me and didn't have enough energy to do all four of my teeth or something... it was stupid. hope you feel better... and worst comes to worst quarter pounder+blender=edible j/k

hey, it's jenny.

you said you were gonna get them out, but i didn't think this soon. they had to use a frickin' power saw? why couldn't they wait until your wisdom teeth grew out a little more... that way, they can just use pliers and yank 'em out, right?

you know, it's probably a conspiracy- they falsely convince us that keeping our wisdom teeth in will have fatal effects or something... or, pulling our wisdom teeth out so our wisdom will die like the tooth and then in the future we listen to everything they say. just kidding! i just think conspiricies are mysteriously cool.

soft food ain't all that bad. you could eat asian porridge.

I think they said that if I waited for them to grow, they'd make my teeth crooked or something..I haven't the slightest clue what they used, my eyes were closed the entire time.

I have been eating soup, jello and mashed potatoes..not bad, I suppose.

My ex boyfriend had all four out at the same time, I got stuck taking care of him all weekend, that week. He looked like a chipmunk and I got sick of the only food I got to eat, since it was the only food, HE could eat being Pudding.

So therefore, along with a feeling of hatred toward him, I also sincerely hate pudding.
