Haha, I just remembered I had one of these. I haven't written in mine in the longester time. Watch me ignore this for another 6 months after this comment. Eh, summer doesn't have to be bland...and desert sand can be quite interesting, you never know what you'll find. Like mummified animals and desiccated remains of who-knows-what. Oh and then there're always the seeds that grow and bloom after being dormant for longer than I've been alive when the rains come along. So you see, sand from a desert can be interesting if you find the interest :)
