Spam-Attack

After years of never getting any spam, I am suddenly getting 2-7 new spams a day on my g-mail account. G-mail does a good job of filtering them directly into the spam file, but it's SO annoying! Is there anything that can be done about this? I have noticed that a lot of them have an unsuscribe/opt-out feature, which requires me to enter my e- ( Read more... )

2-7 new spams a day, but they're properly going directly to your spam folder? There's not much you can do. That's life on the internet. I emptied my spambox yesterday and am up to 240 at present.

If it's true spam, the opt-out won't work (and could just capture your email address for more spam.) If it's from a legit company (but how can you tell?), then it'll work. Your best bet is to just ignore them.

Now, if you're getting 2-7 spams a day that AREN'T going directly to your spam box, you'll just need to be diligent with that "Report Spam" button and Google will better learn what's spam and what isn't.
