So, I read today that the city of New York has now banned artificial trans-fats. Why can they not just let people kill themselves? I guess the drive to make everyone healthy is strong. Too bad they don't realize that the less people who die, the more people who need to eat. I guess they want the world population to swell 18 billion by 2020... thats

There are a couple things here that are askew. First of all: You lost your apt.?! What happened? Are you NOT living w/ Bren/Amanda? WTF?!!
Also, in regards to transfats: First of all, it's NYC, the most liberal city ever, and who they're really protecting are people who are not informed enough to choose to avoid them (or eat them), people who can't afford to not just eat whatever is cheap/available, and also people who are the victims of companies that don't openly admit to USING artificial transfats (who can now be sued).
People can still easily kill themselves (that's what cigarettes, alcohol and knives are for), and you can still get whatever junk food you want, either online, or in ANY OTHER FUCKING CITY/TOWN/VILLAGE ON EARTH.
You should probably be a little more glad that there is a city/govt./community that actually is willing to forcibly try to help people fight obesity and stop parents from feeding their kids shit.
Again, WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR APT!?!!
