I know it's been forever. But my retirement has finally come through (after being delayed a number of times) so the plan is that having more time to write, I'll be able to post a lot more regularly

I was so happy to see this updated! Thanks for the synopsis too. Was a nice refresher.

Justin takes after Jen in both his strength & feeling responsible for things they have no control over. Thankfully, the both have people in their life to convince them otherwise.

I think Brian does have a good idea about getting everyone away for a while. It's not running away, but just giving everyone time to prepare for what's going to come.

I have to admit though, my favorite part was all with Gus and the ladybug. So adorable! Gus just keeps getting cuter and cute. ♥

Thank you. I think in some ways Justin does take after Jen. I've actually been planning the summer getaway for about two years. You should see all the maps and photos I've gone through looking for just the right spot for them. Made me want to have a summer holiday by a lake! LOL.

Glad you liked Gus and the ladybug. I think kids that age are amazing, when they get interested in something and become so enthusiastic about it.

Congratulations on your retirement! You will love it, I'm sure. I have to tell you that your writing is memorable, take it from someone who reads a lot of QAF fan fiction. I actually remembered everything from your synopsis! This latest chapter shows the strong love and knowledge the boys share of one another. I love how they can read one another so well. I am so happy you are continuing with this series and I look forward to reading future fiction of yours!

I think the boys have reached a point now where they do understand one another pretty well. And that bodes well for the future as they face up the various ups and downs that life brings to all of us.

I have retired too! I have actually the time for LJ. I had been feeling nostalgic for the "old" days. It was a treat to find this chapter! Not at all hard to fall back into this story. More please. LOL
