Should I be scared that usually they measure snow here in partial inches and now that we have over an inch it is merely a dusting?

Of course this is WAY better than my dad's cumulative 8ft in the last 45days, but they know how to care for their roads (even when they've run out places to put the snow). Here we really don't.
