I hear you on this. Nothing lives in our place. I try and try but it all dies. :( I'm thinking of volunteering this summer with a nursing home just so I can help with their gardening needs and it'll satisfy mine.

Don't you guys have a balcony? Or is it just the shady side of the building?

We're not moving anywhere I don't think -- and really, this place is perfect in all respects except the obvious basementness of it. I'll be going on my biannual pilgrimage to the old country - 2 weeks in Turkey and a month in Russia, whoo-wee. Considering Ran's problems with linear time, regular watering would definitely be an issue while I'm away.

You're not too far from the Lillian H. Smith library - don't they have a community garden in the back? Maybe you could be part of that?

Really? That would be fantastic, thanks for the tip!

I don't think we're moving anytime soon, unless something really extraordinary comes up. I'll be going on a trip -- first Turkey for two weeks, then Russia -- until the start of September.
