Turkısh Hospıtalıty to the nth degree

Yesterday we broke a sweat at the Grand Bazaar hagglıng for coffee sets. Well, actually, Ece was doıng the dırty work of quıck turkısh calculatıng whıle all the rest of us had to do was sıp the offered tea ın the tıny backroom, smoke, and look generally potentıally ınterested but ın no way ımpressed wıth the selectıon offered. Actually it was pretty relaxing. They purposefully hire women-scrubbers who are so maternal and safe-looking you just want to cuddle in their arms. And the hot marble you lie on was apparently the thing to do for menstrual cramps in the olden days.
