*but you don't know who I am... so let me go*

I finished HBP at 2:00 AM this morning! Finally... ;) I still can't believe some of the things that happened (see thoughts below).

These are my post- HBP thoughts, in completely random order. I tend to skip around, so... you have been fairly warned. :)

*takes deep breath*

-Dumbledore's death reminded me of Sister Husband's death in "Where the Heart Is". Dumbledore, like Sister, represented a normal life for the other characters he was involved with, and after his death, things will never be the same (duh.).
-When Narcissa pleaded with Snape to help Draco, I was all set up to like her, until the incident in the robes' shop.
-Harry/Ginny: All I can say is, finally! I think I knew from book one that SOMETHING would happen between them. And, as many of you know, I am an avid Draco/Ginny shipper. However, the part of me that is obsessed with romance did a little dance at the mention of their (Harry/Ginny) first kiss. I WAS a little upset that Ron and Lavender got more attention than Harry and Ginny.
-Harry's breakup with Ginny: I personally thought it was stupid. Ok, I understand he was 'protecting her', but... it seems like he should have forseen that Ginny can take care of herself, after the way she handled events in OotP and HBP. I was pleased with Ginny's reaction to the breakup, and when she was telling him that she understood that he was first and foremost a 'hero', that made me want to cry. Poor Ginny. Their breakup reminded me a little of Dan and Alice's breakup in "Closer". In both situations, the people ivolved knew it was best for the breakup to happen, but it was obvious there were still feelings there. I'm secretly hoping for a rekindling of their relationship in book seven...
-Dumbledore's character became a little more... human in this book, I think. In the past I've always seen him as the strong, wise headmaster of Hogwarts, who can never be wrong. However, in HBP, we see a weaker, incerdibly WRONG Dumbledore ontop of his usual character. I did enjoy the way he handled things with Malfoy at the end of the book. That was brilliant.
-Snape. What can be said about Snape? I was shocked that he was revealed to be the Half- Blood Prince. When I first started reading the book, I thought surely it couldn't be Voldemort, because that would be way too obvious, and a little overdone. But Snape? That never even crossed my mind. And Snape killing Dumbledore? That was sickening. Especially when he did it with looks of hate and malice in his eyes. I just... couldn't believe it. I'd always wanted to believe in his 'goodness', especially after OotP. Even at the beginning of HBP, when he had the little 'party' with Bellatrix and Narcissa, I didn't believe what he was telling them.
-Draco. I must admit I felt a little sorry for him. I enjoyed seeing more of his character fleshed out, and the crying with Moaning Myrtle bit was great. Really. I loved seeing the 'human' side of him, as well, the part that was weighed down by what he had to do. I still can't decide whether he didn't kill Dumbledore because he was a coward, or because he really didn't know if he 'should' or not.
-Remus/Tonks. Made me smile when I wanted to cry. ;)
-The Horcruxes were an amazing addition to the entire plot spans. I did think it was a little too easy for Dumbledore and Harry to get to 'the locket' in the cave, though. I thought there might be a little more... opposition, or something.
-Ron/Hermione: I just want to shout, "Hurry up!" to them.:) I mean really, how long is it going to take? *pokes them*

*lets out breath*

Ok, I think I'm done. If I think of anything else, watch out for another 'post- HBP' post. :D

All right. Now you can all say I'm crazy. I don't care. Someone out there has to be as insane as me. And I believe I can name a few of 'them'. ;) *loves you all and your insanity*

*kisses and hugs*
